Here we go....
Boxes and Betas
Having been lucky enough to be part of the Record beta program from the outset, I have tested several versions of the application. Given that time spent with Record, I can safely say that this is the most CPU-efficient recording application I have ever used.
Although the beta versions contained some debugging code, everything ran smoothly with no glitches; even larger demo projects played back with only a minimal hit on my MacBook Pro's CPU. The folks at Propelle…

Greetings all

Most of requests seems to be related in some way. Here are a few terms as they will help while reading contracts and other music business materials.
Hope this helps - as I promised to post ......

Heard a very interesting show in NPR this evening. I've posted the link below for a section of the transcript of the book of the author that was being interviewed. It provides a tangent to one of Sidney's questions on promotion.
Once the link to the podcast is posted, I'll link that here as well.
Covers some of the "backdoor dealings" of DRM, why the record companies made some of the decisions they did, etc. Even if you may not agree with some of what he deals with, it's still very fascinating…

It certainly was not a night of "long story short", as Benjy Myaz called his last album released three years ago. On the contrary, with the help of friends singers A'Lisa, Charmaine Limonius and the Guyanese born saxophonist Courtney Fadlin, Myaz, the artiste, on Friday, gave the full length at the Red Bones Blues Café.
A singer, bass player and producer, Benjy delivered a most electic set covering a wide range of moods fro…

Mel Cooke, Gleaner Writer
At times Benjy Myaz relaxed on a high stool and led with his guitar, at other points he came front and centre and led with his voice, still with plucking the strings. Sometimes his voice stood on its own, at one point it alternated with special guest A'lisa, at others it gave way to Charmaine Limonius, just as he did with the guitar and saxophone of Courtney Fadlin.
In all cases the musician and singer, along with the band, d…

Singer, Benjy Myaz was truly awesome on Friday night at Red Bones in Kingston. The crooner had the capacity audience enthralled as he delivered a musical repast which included two 40-minute sets and, of course, a truly deserved encore.
This awesome performance begged the question, why don't we see Benjy in concert more often? It is totally mind-boggling that an artiste of this calibre is not featured on all the big shows. Benjy played lead with his bass whic…

March 6, 2008, Kingston, Jamaica
Acclaimed musician and vocalist Benjy Myaz waged war at Singers Night at Christopher's Café in the Quad on Thursday March 6, as he sought to continue a musical revolution against what he sees as imbalances that continue to exist in the Jamaican music industry. Myaz dedicated Dennis Brown's classic hit Revolution to all persons in the music industry who actively resist the trend of payola, widely claimed to be plaguing the radio sector in Jamaica.
"Revolution do…
